Activities of the Training & Placement Office

  • Placement Assistance: Facilitating recruitment opportunities with top law firms, corporates, chambers of senior advocates, and legal departments.
  • Internship Coordination: Assisting students in securing internships with reputed organizations to gain practical exposure.
  • Skill Development Workshops: Organizing sessions on CV writing, interview techniques, group discussions, and professional communication.
  • Industry Interaction: Conducting guest lectures, conclaves, and interactive sessions with judges, advocates, law firm partners, and corporate leaders.

Career Counselling: One-to-one guidance and mentoring for career planning, higher education, and specialization choices.

Placement Drive (May-June, 2025):

The Placement Drive was successfully conducted by the Training and Placement Office, DME Law School providing a valuable platform for final year law students to connect with leading legal recruiters. Renowned law firms, corporate houses, and litigation chambers such as Law SB, Nitesh Mehra and Associates, Sabharawal Law Firm, Chibber Law Associates, Shephard Law Associates, Law Chambers of A.Anand, UN Legal, Elevate, Waywode Jurists etc. participated in the drive, offering diverse opportunities including internships and full-time roles. The event witnessed active student participation and selection of our students in some of the top legal organizations like Khaitan & Khaitan., Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co., Nitro Commerce, Fastrack Legal Solutions LLP, Prasanna Law Chambers, SALF, V3 Infrasol, E-resolution Consultancy Services, Law Chambers of Rohit Bhardwaj, Law Chambers of Murari Tiwari, Triple J and Edwin Corporate Law Firm, to name a few.


JurisConnect’25 (February, 2025):

Juris Connect’ 25, served as a bridge between our students and partners of top legal firms of India, offering internships and placement opportunities. The event was a huge success with the presence of Partners of Tier 1 law firms such as Ms. Meghna Mishra (Karanjawala & Co.), Mr. Kartik Yadav (DSK Legal), Mr. Aditya Vikram (Luthra & Luthra) and Ms. Nimish Trehan, (Khaitan & Co.) The event featured an insightful discussion on the topic ‘AI in the Legal Profession: Augmentation Not Replacement – Navigating the Future of Legal Practice’, exploring how artificial intelligence is transforming the legal landscape. The conclave reinforced the college’s commitment to ensuring industry-ready graduates with meaningful career opportunities while keeping them abreast of emerging trends in legal practice.


Mock Interviews
 (November, 2024):

TPO DME Law School conducted mock interview sessions in collaboration with Karat Lawz Academy, to prepare students for the challenges of real-world recruitment. The initiative included simulated interview scenarios, detailed feedback, and skill-building exercises to enhance the confidence and articulation. The sessions focused on common legal interview questions, CV review, and the art of answering situational queries effectively.


JurisConnect’24 (November, 2024):

Law School served as a bridge between students and top legal firms, offering internships and placement opportunities. The event included pre-placement talks, networking sessions, and general legal discussions, providing students with real-world experiences. Esteemed organizations from the legal sector like Patanjali Associates, Lawmen Alliance, AMA Legal, Legaloids Law Offices, Manupatra, SALC, Avitr Legal, V3infrasol etc. participated scouting talent from DME’s pool of aspiring legal professionals. The drive reinforced the college’s commitment to ensuring industry-ready graduates with meaningful career opportunities.


Interactive Session- Unacademy
 (September, 2024)

TPO, DME Law School collaborated with Unacademy to conduct an interactive session focusing on preparation strategies for competitive exams like CLAT-PG and Judiciary exams. The session included tips from experienced mentors on time management, study techniques, and choosing the right resources. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, reflecting students’ eagerness to excel in their professional aspirations.

 

Orientation (August 2024):

TPO, DME Law School organized a comprehensive orientation program to introduce final year students to the career development opportunities. The event highlighted the role of the TPO in shaping students’ professional journeys. The placement heads shared the roadmap of placements and collaborations with the tier 1 law firms, litigation chambers, corporates, NGOs, policy think tanks, and government organizations.

ALUMNI CONNECT 2021- MOCK INTERVIEW BY ALUMNI

The Training and Placement Cell, DME Law School organised a mock interview session with the alumni of DME Law School for 4th year law students (Batch 2018- 2023).The event was organised with the aim of advancing fundamental opportunities to the participants to enhance their analytical, interpersonal, communication, interview -handling skills and such other legal aptitudes. The event was attended by more than thirty 4th year law students and was graced by 4 Alumni.

The event started with the Inaugural session presided over by Director, DME, Prof. (Dr) Ravikant Swami and accompanied by, (Dr) Rashmi Nagpal, Dean, DME Law School and Dr. R.K Randhawa, Academic Coordinator (law). The alumni were felicitated by the college authorities. The event was conducted under the leadership of Ms. Komal Kapoor, Convener, Training and Placement Cell, DME Law School and Mr. Gunjan Agrahari, Co-Convener, Training and Placement Cell, DME, Law School.

MASTERS IN LAW: LL.M. INDIA OR ABROAD – CAREER & FUTURE PROSPECTS, 27TH JANUARY, 2022

On January 27th, 2022 Training and Placement Cell DME organized a virtual event which focused on providing an overview on pursuing an LLM in India or Abroad. The session was chaired by three alumnae of DME, Ms. Joyce Jacob, Research Assistant at University of Glasgow, Masters in Law from University of Glasgow; Ms. Trupti Panigrahi, Assistant Lecturer and Assistant Dean Jindal Global Law School, Masters in Law from Queen Mary University of London & Ms. Vallabha Gulati, Student, Masters in Law from University of Cambridge. The Chair also consisted of two Faculty members from DME Law School, Ms. Bedapriya Lahiri, Masters in law from National Law University, New Delhi and Ms. Shambhavi Mishra, Masters in Law from Indian Law Institute, New Delhi.

Ms. Vallabha Gulati, threw light upon the application process for universities abroad and shared how the golden triangle of LOR, SOP & CV is to be maintained while applying for them; Ms. Joyce Jacob, answered some of the most important questions including ‘How to choose which country to go for LLM’, ‘Who to approach for guidance’, ‘Important documents to prepare’ & ‘what to keep in mind while writing one’s statement of purpose’; finally Ms. Trupti Panigrahi shared her thoughts on whether one should go for an LLM or not & how one can introspect on it.

 

LET’S BE PREPARED: LEADERSHIP TRAJECTORY IN CORPORATE LAW

“The one great principle of corporate law is to generate business for itself”. In the spirit of above,The Internship and Placement Cell, DME Law School under UG Professional Development Series organised an interactive session  Let’s be prepared: Leadership trajectory in Corporate Law for the 5th Year Students on November 20th, 2021 at 3:00 pm onwards via zoom platform.

The resource person for the same was Ms. Namrata Bhagwatula, Senior Associate, AZB & Partners. She guided the students on various nuances of corporate law and on how to successfully make a career in big corporations. She also addressed a variety of questions posed to her by the students and shared tips and tricks on how to achieve greater heights in this field.

Internship Assistance

 

DME Law School’s Internship Cell keeps pace with the demands of the changing industry and equips our students with the latest skill sets and practical training along with constant and insightful industry exposure and professional interaction. In this journey, exposure in the practical aspects of law is one of the most vital parts of a law school.

DME Law School provides Summer Internship which enhances the student skills in understanding and applying the theoretical concepts in a practical environment and develops a better comprehension of the Corporate, Professional environment. Summer Internship is aimed at helping the students to acquire the practical knowledge in the specialization area that they will be choosing for their future career.

Internship Cell under the Training and Placement Office of DME Law School coordinates the summer internship by inviting NGOs, Law Firms, Corporates, Senior Advocates for providing internship to our students. Each student intern has an industry guide from his internship organization and a faculty member from the institution to monitor his development. The progress and performance of the student intern is monitored through the Progress Reports regularly with Industry guide. An evaluation Board of 2-3 members assesses the performance of intern through Industry Project Report, Daily Diary, Presentation and Viva-voce.

Summer Internship is an integral part of academic curriculum of a program and contributes a lot towards Professional development and corporate exposure.
